OMG! its ANOTHER CLONE PHOTO!!! :o

har har. just kidding. Ok, finally i got the green light to publicize the Toyota Prius ad campaign stuff i created.

To shortly explain what the idea behind it is:
They had seen my "twin" photos, and thought it would be neat to have me create a bunch of such images featuring the car as well, since its a "two in one" sorta car (gas & electricity powered)
I started in early august and finished in early september, and now finally the images are being made public.

This is a good opportunity for me to point out that i now have my very own website, and in my blog i will put up all of the photos that are used in the campaign, only going to put up a handful here on flickr.
THere's already several on there that you might (or might not) be interested in taking a look at. That blog will also be a vent for all sorts of rambling that doesn't necessarily have a photo to go with it, so it'll be a nice supplement to my flickr thing:)

Regarding this photo..(which was taken aug. 16th).. i think the me that's jumping out of the way looks pretty silly, but i love the pose on the other one, and the shadows, so that makes up for it;)

@ Aemil: yes indeed, for a month and a half about, i had the car and went all over creating photos, it was quite awesome:)
I can seriously say that its a great, great car (and would say so even if i hadn't made a whole bunch of money making ads for it)

@Mace2000: they're displayed in light-boxes on the sides of bus-stop shelters all over Reykjavík and near-by towns. I'm going out in a little bit to try and spot all the photos, i plan on taking some pics of that:)

no.. but i did get a very distinct "i must look like a complete idiot" feeling.. this was taken in a rather remote place, nothing but farms around, and not a car in sight, but still, being on the bridge for over half an hour with the sound of tractors on the surrounding fields made me feel very paranoid that some farmers might be watching and thinking " what the hell..."

First time I've commented, but I've been both admiring and studying your photos often. Photography had always intrigued me, however, your images were the catalyst to me making the decision to start making pictures, and leave memory snapshots for, well, recording memories... and I'm just starting on that journey.

Anyway, your website is beautifully simple and elegant, and also super fast and intuitive to navigate around. I know that a website doesn't just happen on being like that.

Congratulations -- on the site, on the gig, on several more wonderful photos... all of it. I like that some of the shots don't feature the car, though I also like the ones that do -- especially more subtly so, like the one where you're stepping out of it.

Too bad you didn't get to keep the car. :-)

Oh, and don't worry about the farmers. They may be wondering what the hell, but that doesn't mean you're not doing something worth doing.
