The Pool of Answers

Sometimes we find ourselves looking into a pool for one reason or another. Funny how so many times we think as we look into these pools...sometimes searching for answers and sometimes just thinking about things. Every now and then an answer or two will come to us and we'll move on. Seems no matter how many answers we get we always come back for more.

Danielle sits by a tiny pool in Tumbling Rock Cave. This shot was illuminated using a Lumedyne in the back and a Sunpack strobe in the front as well as SIT to soften the waterfall and give illumination to the pool. This was a cold shot for her, so to to make it a little easier we set up the shot and got all the settings dialed in while she was in regular caving attire. Once we were all set she changed into the fairy costume and we shot a few exposures. Kudos to her for being able to manage the cold while I shot "just one more". :-)

A View to the Past

This shot of a Saturn 1B located at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama was taken through the framework of Space Shot at about 150 feet up. We were up doing some work to the shot -some of which involved photo documentation. I had a few free moments and was able to shoot a few images of the rocket park. It was difficult as everything I stood on was covered in grease and I had double safety tethers hooked to me reducing my mobility. to make matter worse I have a fear of heights. The weather was nice though and after being up there for a little while I kind of got adjusted to it. Still nerve racking though.
