Gotta have the landline for DSL, sadly. I'm just biding my time on the overpriced cell phone contract until I get an iPhone, which will be very soon now.

And yes, private student loans suck - no fun watching the interest rate change all the time!

@Scantastic: I only charge other bills to credit under dire circumstances, maybe a couple of times in the past few years. These days, I'm mostly trying to pay down the balance, which is all from back when I was a student.

I stopped opening private student loan notices years ago! I just got insanely furious at how ridiculous they are, so I've opted to not care. I owe more on them now then I did 5 years ago! HA!!!!!!! Whatever.

I've got internet through these guys, no phone line required, and split with just 1 neighbor, it works out to $30 a month.

Well, my new service won't be cheaper, but I will be getting much more useful service for my money (ie, the internet in my pocket). My current service is voice only for that price! I have way too many minutes in my contract, but can't change it without resetting the contract period.
