I always forget you can buy beer at 7/11 in the States, it blows my mind.

the lack of booze in a canadian 7/11 is made up for by the fact that they serve real slurpees. the slurpees south of the border are really just icees, and are a really horrible substitute for an actual slurpee.

i'm not entirely sure of the exact differences between the two, but an icee is pressurized or carbonated somehow, and is disgusting when compared with a real slurpee which is a perfect blend of syrup and ice.

@ powkang: you can't buy beer in convenience stores or supermarkets in PA (you MAY be able to in Philly, but not in most other parts of the state). It's über-lame. You can only get beer at a beer distributor and liquor at a liquor store.

@ nep: I live in Canada (Newfoundland) and you can buy beer at most all supermarkets, and many take-out restaurants. You can't buy liqour there though...however most of the newest supermarkets have a liquor store attached that sell beer, wince, rum, etc...

Here you can LEGAL buy & drink beer & wine with 16 and with 18 you can buy the good stuff like rum, whisky etc...

And here you can buy Stroh Rum with 88% Alcohol in every normal Supermarket (3 meters from the chips corner as example)

And in German TV you can say F.U.C.K. without the horrible beeping!

And the absolute best is our Presidents are realy elected ;-P
