Kicking Up the Dandelions
Beetle's T-ball practice ended up being cancelled. Of course, we didn't know that until after no one showed up. In my classroom a few days before, as we dicussed a story, it became apparent that one of my fourth graders did not know what dandelions were. I asked Beetle (three years old) if she knew what they were. She did. She then showed me how to set the seeds free. I chastised her not to do that on our lawn. ;)
So, as we awaited her teammates, Beetle and I had a blast kicking the dandelions to set the seeds free. What great sport!
