Scouted the back area of the woods and managed to find this male owl within the woods at almost eye-level and at a fairly close distance. A little branchy in the background, but that's the way it is if you're shooting in the woods.

Northern Hawk Owl Flight Landing

Although the lighting in the evening didn't turn out as expected, it was still a wonderful session with Richard, Glenn, and Ray at the Cooking Lake area with this gorgeous Northern Hawk Owl, and also took a few people shots here and there. Some more owl photos to come shortly.
