Fairytale Larch

    Newer Older

This Larch tree was covered with the prettiest purple and green lichen. I actually said "ooooo" when I saw this tree, but it's beauty lost some of it's glory in the photograph. I will be back to snap more shots of this tree, until I grow lichen on my own limbs as well.

Beautiful, and so artfully composed. The colors are amazing -- awesome combination! They almost look like little roses.

I like this shot. Each cone seems to have a different "personality" and (one-eyed) interest in its surroundings.
