"Listen, we don't like our photos taken"
Two security guards (India-ese - Watchman) guard one of the buildings of the Chepauk Palace - a now in disuse palace of the Nawabs of Arcot. The city of Madras was founded by two Scotsmen - Francis Day & Andrew Cogan. They leased a part of the land under the indirect control of the Nawabs to build their factory here, in 1639 AD. Soon, the British were supreme in India, and they managed to control the Nawabs and their dominion.
This palace was built in the Indo Saracenic style, pioneered by Robert Chisholm, in Chennai.
