I had purchased this mum at least two weeks before I made this shot and it was still looking fairly fresh. I trimmed its stem to about three inches and put it in a small, transparent vase which I then set right on the light box. I was able to use just one of the four exposure brackets I made to create this image. I am always amazed at how much information you can bring out of a raw exposure in Lightroom and Photoshop. Not so with in-camera jpegs, as much of the visual information is discarded by the camera.
