thing 27: "fancy" bow

thing 27: "fancy" bow by ranjit.
Today my ebay order of mongolian horse hair arrived! So I made a fancy horsehair bow. It's an awful bow, of course, and I have no idea how to use a bow anyway, but what the heck: here's what it sounds like on the rotten stick tension guitar and the rotten stick electric guitar.

(I got to spend some time combing horse hair. Instrument making has more in common with My Little Pony than I knew!)

I saw you on MAKE and I've been following your RSS for a while. I really like your projects. They are quick, cheap, and clever. Good stuff!

What tools are you using?

Thanks, redbrazosjeff! Quick and cheap are the guiding principles here.

My main tools are a desk vise, a couple of pullsaws and a tiny electric screwdriver that I use as a crummy drill because it's quieter than the real drill. (I do most of my work in my apartment at night and I don't want to bug the neighbors.) Secondary tools include a chisel and rubber mallet, needle-nose pliers and vise grips, bolt cutter and soldering iron.
