If you look at a previous photo titled "Common Southern California Porch Moth", you will see a mess of eggs being laid by a moth. This is the outcome. My best guess on their actual length is about an 1/8". Look at it full size and check out the tendrils or whatever they are called and you can also see some just emerging from the egg. Timing is everything!

Mother Nature's Recycling

Mother Nature's Recycling

The moth just out of frame was captured in the previous picture laying her eggs. She is now sustaining life for these interesting creatures. There were a dozen scavenging on the moth and dragging around these odd looking casings. If you know what they are. please chime in.

Common Southern California Porch Moth

I've noticed this moth loitering near the front door for a few days now. Only today did I take a closer look and found that the young lady has been busy. I'll try to monitor the eggs and see if I can capture the hatching.
