Goodbye big guy!

Goodbye big guy!

Rhino horn is retailing at $60,000 per Kg -mainly to satisfy the Chinese and Vietnamese traditional medicine market.

Rhino horn is simply keratin and is about as therapeutic as chewing one's own fingernails, but regardless human ignorance has created a commodity which is scarce and desired by some at any cost. These people are a small minority of the new middle classes of south-east Asia and they now have the money to buy what they desire -greed and market forces have done the rest. With such a price on its head the rhino doesn't stand a chance!!!

So who are these terrible people that crave rhino horn at any cost? Here is one: www.worldpressphoto.org/photo/2012brentstirtonnas1-ll?gal...
