Living On The Edge ! by Ragstatic

Living On The Edge !

A photographer's life that is ! What people do to get a good shot. The water was calm and steady. The sun had risen to the left, and bathed the waters.

This is a single exposure. tuned thru ACR .

Home Made Orange Marmalade. by Ragstatic

Home Made Orange Marmalade.

Was an interesting challenge this morn. Luckily I had my zoom lens. This was shot at the Seletar Reservoir.

A light breeze had the boat drifting. I wish I had a f2.8 lens :( to get the boat more crisp. But, I think the high ISO performance helped a fair bit.

> Three light sources.

> One from behind me - white light from the park lamp posts - hitting the whites/blues of the boat.

> Ably assisted by my friend Sai/, who flashed his LED Surefire torch on the boat - additional light painting ;-)

> Behind the boat about 1 km away was the earth station - yellow/orange lights thrown across the waters and mixed with the frontal white light created a nice raft of colored still reservoir water.

> This comes off a single exposure. Tuned to 2 separate exposures via ACR and masked.

NO filters. No additional coloring or flavors. Except some lab color enhancement @ 50%. ISO 800; f/5.0; 1/3 sec
