Homewood Ski Resort, Lake Tahoe. I was snowboarding here just five days before taking this photo. Cool eh ?

Emerald Bay

A view of South and West Lake Tahoe, California, from the air. Flying home to Dublin from San Francisco on an Aer Lingus Airbus A330-200. Amazingly, I was here just five days earlier snowboarding in Homewood Ski Resort. You can see the ski runs in the picture (see note).

I love your shots! I have a few of Lake Tahoe in my photostream but there only with a nikon d40 so i dont nececcarily have the same settings and mp as you do, so there not the best quality.

thanks for the comments. to be honest, the Canon 400d and the lens I used - a 17-85, are both pretty basic piece of equipment. I don't use anything hugely expensive. A lot of what I do looks pretty ordinary when it comes off the camera. You can achieve a lot with a few basic adjustments in photoshop.
