1. have you guys seen the trailer for "21 Jump Street"? well i saw it for the first time the other day, then Channing Tatum was in my dream, where we had the hots for each other but were acting all shy like middle school kids. in real life, i don't think he's particularly hot.
2. this is gonna be another long work week. YAY!
3. men: why do you seem to emit so much body heat? i mean, it's great for when i'm chilly, i just snuggle up to matt to warm up, but it's like you radiate an extra 10 degrees of heat. what's up with that?
4. i bought some dried apricots for the first time yesterday. they're good, but kinda weird, b/c they're not fully dry like dried mango is. they're still kinda soft and moist, but obviously not fully soft like a ripe apricot. anyways, good healthy snack that's loaded with a crapload of potassium.
5. our one cat, steve buscemi, will cry and moan and bang on the bedroom door when he wants us up and wants to be fed. he is a bastard when we try and sleep in a bit. at least he's a cute bastard.

1. i love making lists. i love that Karen makes lists on her photos b/c i love reading them :) i even have a blog that is strictly random lists of random shit, but i keep forgetting to update it. oops.
2. i got the bathroom VERY wet trying to do this photo. oops again.
3. i hate talking the dog out to do her business. she's whining downstairs so i'm gonna have to be a mom and take care of her. heh.
4. this is one of the first saturdays in a month or so that matt and i have the whole day to spend together. he had been doing volunteer work at a high school for their robotics program.
5. i'm really really considering planning for a new tattoo to go on my upper right arm. it's gonna be super colorful and i'm super excited :)

pow-pow-power lines!

1. i caught matt's cough & cold over the weekend and have been downing nyquil every night since. that nasty shit works wonders and my congestion is almost all gone!
2. i think i look really weird/even younger when i have no eyeliner on.
3. tomorrow i'm getting fiona apple tix. she'll be performing at Sixth & I here in DC, which is one of my fave venues b/c it's a pretty little synagogue, and it's intimate. (i hate big arenas and shows.)
4. i was going through a closet that just has a bunch of shoes and bags dumped in it (b/c the shelving broke off the wall over a year ago and we still haven't fixed it) and i refound some sweet heels that i totally forgot i had!
5. i hate "dog smell". gross. i hate dog licking even more. all i think about is how much they lick their own butts or eat mud or lick the cats' butts. NO THANK YOU.

this was in my parents house for as long as i can remember, it's made of capiz shells, a popular shell you can find in the philippines, and tons of stuff are made from them. i want to say my grandfather brought this over when he emigrated from the philippines.

when my parents got rid of stuff, they gave it to one of my uncles. a few months ago my uncle decided to get rid of some stuff and asked if i now wanted the lamp, and i took it in an instant.

i really love unique lamps, especially ones that give me such sweet nostalgia.
