Corn concern

Corn concern by justmakeit.
My understanding, from talking to the farm manager at my daughter's school, is that the corn is about four or five weeks behind where it should be for this time of year. There's been too much cold weather, and now, too much flooding (which you can see a bit of here). Hope the rest of the summer goes better....

Oh, and here's a link to a terrific corn row photo by my friend jcgr:

Yup. That's right. It'll never be knee-high by the 4th of July at this rate. Nope. Oh, by the by, this photo rocks. Um, hard. I think it's the curvy lines of the corn rows and gorgeous color and the 3 horizontal blocks of color and above all, the leetle clouds.

I love this photo. My husband and I have just returned from a sweeping trip down to Texas and back up traveling eventually through Iowa. I was longing to take a photo exactly like this with all the beautiful plowed rows and rich brown earth and green sprouts reaching for the sun. Alas, there was no sun...only rain rain rain. And, as you point out, lots of puddles. I was especially looking for the red barns as in your other wonderful photos. Guess another trip. This one shows exactly what I was looking for!! Well done! And I hope it warms up a little for us all.
