apples!

we started out with 30 pounds, but after one pie and two weeks of grazing, we're down to about 25 pounds.

on the left: Melrose and Suncrisp
on the right: Stayman, New Red, and Turley Winesaps

the Melrose and Suncrisps went into the crockpot for apple butter, and tomorrow I'm turning the Winesaps into applesauce and preserves, and all the peels/cores are being boiled for juice to make jelly
