I had a version of this ready to upload where my hair and eyes were cutout... then I decided it looked way too odd, and not in a good way.
I'm not sure about the hair. People at work liked it, but I think it's just going to take some getting used to. Luckily it is temporary, so if it doesn't grow on me, no biggie. :)

Thanks so much for all of your comments and encouragement, E, Gabi, Amancay, Cherron, Trisha, Melody & Christy! It really helped bolster my spirits before I left the house this morning to hear your words... I'm still not used to it, but I guess every day helps! :)
I guess this one is more "me" than normal - I was having trouble even keeping my eyes open, I couldn't really concentrate on anything else! For some reason, even though the sky was cloudy, I just couldn't look up at it for some reason. I wouldn't say it was painful, I just could seem to keep my eyes open for long enough. I finally got a system down where I would hold the button of my remote down part way so the focus was locked, and then I would open my eyes and push the button at the same time. Success! :)
Anyway, after that long paragraph of nothingness that I hope you just slogged through, I want you to know that I really appreciate your lovely and kind feedback. :) You guys rock! :)
Angela - I'm referring to the character "Angela" from the TV show "My So-Called Life" which aired in the mid-90s - in one of the first scenes of the pilot episode, she dyes her hair red, and it becomes sort of a symbol of breaking free of what people expect of her, and making her own decisions. At least, to me it does! So I say, even outer-Angelas can have an inner-Angela, too! :)

Ok, so I had a totally morbid take on this from the thumb... which gave me a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach... I saw the beautiful red hair as blood. As if you had fallen from way up and hit the pavement. I think the shot is powerful on many levels.
Regardless of how it looks...I am glad it is just dyed hair... cause my first reaction made me quite sad (even though I knew it was just a photo). And horay for "breaking free of what people expect of [you], and making [your] own decisions." You Rock!!!

Amancay - totally! I got it on DVD as soon as it came out a few years ago! :)
Micah - Thanks! I have to admit, when I was uploading this, I thought, "you know, my hair kind of looks like blood... I wonder if that's going to disturb anyone?" So, I'm not suprised that it seemed that way from a glance. I'm glad you like the shot, and I'm glad it was successful graphically! It turned out pretty much as I wanted, which seems rare these days. :) And you rock, too! :)
