it's impossible not to LOVE Florence...well...maybe after you switch off the button responsible for seeing all those tourists around you . But hey - that is actually possible! And after you will do that and notice the beauty of this city from behind the mass of people rushing and pushing thrue - you will fall in love with it forever...
I wish we had more time there...maybe not as much as this bike here ;) but just a little bit more...like a year....or 50 :D

rain watching

we had a chance to see a big storm in Venice
ah, what a romantic experience...
We had to run from the rain, skipping puddles and hiding in one of many palaces along the waterfront..it was...quitet....
There was no soul around - just the two of us, no tourists, no sounds...except the rain hitting pavement and us giggling - soaking wet...looking at lightnings...just perfect

For those who might be in Italy in nearest future - here are three tips which Italian travel guides will NOT tell you:

uno:
when you order latte in coffee shop and waitress asks you three times if you SURE of it (yes, damn it, I want latte!!!), don't be surprised to receive a big glass of milk :/

due:
when you don't know where to drive and your GPS goes nuts and you are just about to divorce with your brand new hubby - just turn wherever you like - even where there is "no entrance" sign.
"no passing" sign? no problema! there are no lines on the road showing you where and how you should drive? no problema! you hit and run teen motorbiker? no problema!
You run out of gas in rental car? BIG 100 euro problema! :/

tre:
always take compass with you, because then you will be main attraction in Venice - taking out your laptop of the backpack and making a photo of Google maps in the middle of Saint Mark's square to know where the hell you are, so you could look at your LCD screen later as it's the only map you have
Sounds complicated?
Maybe.
But it's life saving :)
