nice subject but utterly messy background.
Crop (as suggested) or taken with maybe f2 or
f1.4 to blurr out the bkgd.

I like the whithe sandals but to really enjoy
it the boys face is too distracting. ;-)

The skirt is kinda cool -- I like the pinks
and blacks and the graphic quality. The shoes
don't go, though.

for me, this is the kind of "random
mess" composition that works. tons of
interest all over, and the bits that intrude
on the edges just add interest. i'm out on
the cliff with that, i know, but don't be
discouraged. there are plenty of
photographers going for this kind of thing.
