Getting off, or on

Only in China could the government publish such truly hilarious Engrish. I'd like to meet the translator, maybe he's a funny guy and knows exactly what he is doing.

Excellent! I wonder if they meant the British or American meaning of "get off". One is slightly more innocent than the other ;)

I would say from the photo that he knew exactly what he was saying in the translation.

As for British or American meaning, I would say the advice is just as good in both cases :-)

Actually I think Chinese _do_ get off in public ... I've seen sooo many Chinese couples (in Pudong only!!) who were just about to have sex on public benches. Incredible! There were all over each other kissing, touching, lying on each other. .. wow.. I've never seen that in Europe (Germany...).

what is the difference between US and UK getting off then? Getting off in the UK is exactly what the photo depicts.

Whenever i say "they were getting off with each other at the party...it was really tacky" or something along those lines to an American, they look at me in horror... because i think it actually means orgasm there? I might be wrong tho.
