One of my Flickr friends reorganized her studio this weekend, and took a "floor view" photo. Pretty much the only thing on the floor in her studio is now... stuff that belongs on the floor, like table legs and a wastebasket. She actually has, like, room to sit on the floor to take a picture.
My photo, on the other hand, required some major contortions just to squeeze myself into a niche among the rubble to capture the shot. As you can, or, can't see, absolutely no floor space is visible in this room.
I wallow in both clutter and shame.
I actually got a fairly important project out of the way today, so I'm kind of in the mood to tackle this. But it's back to work tomorrow, and then out of town for two weeks (including all three weekends) starting this coming weekend, so it will be a while before I have an opportunity to invest some serious, uninterrupted time in here. Perhaps if I put in a little bit of effort each day I can make an impact, although I've tried that before, and the lack of progress quickly becomes discouraging.
What is all this stuff? Just looking at it like this, I don't know. But as I begin to pick through it, there's a reason for most of it, which makes it hard to clear things out. Gotta get beyond that!
