Finding postcards dedicated to Cinemas of the Netherlands is pretty hard. Appearently, unlike in the US, UK or Asia, the buildings weren't really interesting enough to make them the main attraction on a postcard. This is one of the few I have that have the theatre named on the card.
GILDA wasn't screened here until 1948, after several rejections of the cencorboard, so this picture was probably taken in May 1948, judging by the trees (thanks to Karel Dibbets for that - and a lot of other info). City's current facade can be seen here. The theatre will soon be renovated and the outside returned to it's original state.
This postcard is featured on my monthly page in the Dutch Filmmagazine Skrien.
