Córdoba situada a orillas del Guadalquivir y antigua capital del Califato que gobernó casi toda la península ibérica durante la invasión musulmana de la península, posee el segundo mayor casco histórico de Europa y el mayor espacio urbano del mundo declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. La Mezquita, actualmente catedral de la ciudad forma una de las facetas más conocidas de la misma, por la impresionante arquitectura árabe que en ella alberga. Córdoba mantiene restos de convivencia de las tres grandes culturas y religiones como fueron la cristina, musulmana y judía que en una época no muy lejana convivían pacíficamente.
