Candles are part of symbolic offering in Buddhism. Within the
traditional Buddhist framework of karma, offerings lead to a better
rebirth and progress towards release from suffering.
This shot was taken in the famous Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep near Chiang Mai. The atmosphere of this magnificent temple which
stands in the Doi Suhtep mountain is absolutely fascinating. Being
part of the continuous flow of worshipers coming from all around
Thailand and abroad was a true experience.
I changed the color tone to give a spiritual and holy aspect to the photo. No other tweaks otherwise.
