jurassic coast

jurassic coast

My 2nd and final shot from yesterdays trip to Dorsets Jurassic coastline. The sky was way too heavy for anything meaningful and the sea was way too rough for low perspectives here and long exposures. Needless to say I got thoroughly soaked at this spot.

Not much collected here due to poor light but it was an opportunity to explore a little more of this stretch of coastline and to finally get to meet Mr. John Mr F1 Fanning. A pleasure to meet you sir and thank you for the coffee. Hope to be back down again soon.

I Stand Alone

I Stand Alone

A long exposure from Saturdays outing to Burnham. I only took one long exposure and I may have over exposed this a little, but with Recovery whacked to the max I'm relatively happy with this one, despite the conditions being a little too bright.

A Study of the Nornen IV

A Study of the Nornen IV

The quest continues...

OK, this is my composition, my favoured angle so I'm stickin' with it. A front on shot of this wreck doesn't really work for me. The sky started off good, was a bit rainy but was good. Then after about 20 minutes it went a bit shite, but 20 minutes was long enough to fire off a couple of long expo's. I felt a bit more confident using the ND110 this time as it was the first time I've used my Manfrotto sand feet. Am I satisfied with this one? Well, no would be a simple answer but I do have to be careful not to turn my photostream into a homage to the Nornen. Please do report back if there is any banding, noise as I can't see it on my monitor.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas & Happy Holidays, hope you get what you go for in 2012 (photographically speaking that is!)
