January 7, 2012 - it's over 60 degrees here in St. Matthews, SC. It must be cotton harvesting time. There are fields full of these bright yellow bales and I couldn't resist a quick sunrise photo trip. The sun came up pretty darn fast but I got a few interesting shots before the light got super harsh.

Please note: I did all the photo processing and resizing using Photogene on my iPad2...Photobuddies, let me know how this looks on a real computer!

A family friend gave me a string of origami cubes that I really like (thanks Leslie). I copied her but used old topographic maps and made a string for Chili. It turned out neat and I grabbed a few shots of the string before it headed north.
