Montreal, Canada at negative one degree fahrenheit on this brutally cold and windy winter day.

Shot with an Olympus E-5, Olympus Zuiko 14-34 f2.0 lens. Olympus makes some of the finest glass, outstanding optics and sturdiest cameras in the world. The E-5 combined with this 14-35 is powerful tool in the realm of photography. At a fixed open aperture of f2.0, this is in a class by itself in the world among zoom lenses. The 14-35 translates to 28-70 in SLR terms. Conditions like this call for some challenging work.

You also learn just how rugged and determined these Montrealers can be. They were ready for anything.

Winter Refrain

Winter Refrain

I have no idea why the EXIF data on this shot says that it was taken in 2009 with an Olympus E-510. In fact it was taken on January 21, 2012 with an Olympus E-5, 14-35mm f2 lens. Go figure.

Wind turbines south of Wilmington, Vermont on an icy day in January 2012. I hope we get more of these in the future.
