I have been stalking this very elusive bird for months and FINALLY have captured it, both sitting and flying. The big pay off are the shots where it actually caught a fish. I couldn't believe the action happening right before my eyes. How these shots turned out is beyond me, because I was so nervous it is a miracle any of them are in focus.
The Kingfisher is a very small statured bird around 16 inches at most in length and extremely speedy therefore, close to impossible for ME to capture him moving.

Spotted this small bird the other day and I have a few different views of it. I have searched through my bird books but can't decide on the I.D. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
My thoughts are either a "Greater Yellowlegs" or maybe a "Lesser Yellowlegs" but I could be all wet on both. Thanks for any help!!
