I found on of these in London (Archway) and they're Irish. The biscuit is chewy and the currants are of two types mixed I think, its an interesting quirky mix, not for sale outside of Ireland really.
I wonder why they have it and what Tiffin means to the Irish?
P.S. a nice touch is its age, the packing is still foil and paper wrapped, none of that plastic foil mix rubbish
