Cool. You may need to re-title this slide because I think my neighbor has a two headed dog, as no 1 headed dog could actually bark that much!

Very fun. Though mermaids are generally scaly / fish hybrids, rather than narwhal hybrids. But the overall chimeric concept here is great.

You might want to add a Chimera (lion, snake, goat). You might also be able to double up the lion/human combo by listing a Sphinx.

Wamcvey: You're right, except Manticore should also merge with "Eagle" - it has wings. Sphinx /would/ be the straight cross with Human / Lion, though.

What about Ligers? Hmm, apparently they're not mythical.

Consider adding a small circle for "fly", intersecting with "human" and forming a "brundlefly".

Nice work... but Echidna? A mythical creature????

So the one I photographed was probably my imagination, right?

Maybe in another version you could add the chimera, as lion, goat and snake intersection.

The "manticore" should be a sphinx. You can merge the sphinx part with a scorpion (dragon) or an eagle or something depending on your reading of Greek myth.

The Chimera is missing too. And there'd be a fun with with snake-snake-snake-snake-snake (etc) with Hydra. :-)

BTW, nice diagram.

Someone pointed out that mermaids are generally scaly and narwhals aren't, but nobody found it appropriate to dispute the narwhal's link to the unicorn and camahueto? Narwhals have tusks in their mouths, not horns on their heads.

Manticore Pinion  Pro User  says:

lol Bitch Tits. :P

Actually, if you just take the narwhal horn and smack it on a horse (in most cases these days. Traditionally a unicorn would be mixed with a goat and a lion too) then don't you get a unicorn? therefor the mix is agreeable.

A great example of "Thinking outside the ... (box)"! I've wanted to extend this type of "set theory" diagram to more than the usual 7 areas several times in the past. It never occurred to me to "stretch" the circles into irregular shapes.
