Mark III track alignment

Mark III track alignment

this is what it looks like with the cutting track removed. Because the track is long, the alignment can be adjusted very finely. It is easy to change the blade with the cutting track removed like this.

Mark III gear train

Mark III gear train

here is a look at the gear train. The large pulley in the background is required to cut down the rpms from the motor. The fine pulley set in the front is what I adjust to change rpms within the range of speeds used for cutting. The fine pulley set in the front is available from Taig Tools for about 25 dollars.

Mark III Removable Track

Mark III Removable Track

The cutting track can be easily removed and replaced for cleaning or changing the blade. It is a snug fit, so the alignment is not affected.

I dream about this saw when I'm not in the workshop cutting jump rings.

Mark III Track and Blade close

Mark III Track and Blade close

track screws down in place from above. To cut small coils, I can put shim washers under the track to make the blade shallower. I don't do this often, but it is a good capability to have.
