The PRC was pleased to partner with American Society of Media Photographers, American Society of Picture Professionals, Boston Press Photographers Association, and Commercial Industrial Photographers of New England, to present a lecture by one of today's most accomplished commercial photographers, Gregory Heisler.
Heisler is renowned for his technical mastery and thoughtful responsiveness. His enthusiasm, curiosity, and drive are manifested in his hands-on approach to all aspects of the image making process. His iconic portraits and innovative essays have often graced the covers and pages of many magazines, including LIFE, ESQUIRE, GENTLEMEN'S QUARTERLY, GEO, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED, ESPN, and THE NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE, yet he is perhaps best known for his more than seventy TIME cover portraits. He has photographed numerous celebrities including Al Pacino, Hugh Grant, Kevin Spacey, Julia Roberts, and Bono. In addition, Heisler has memorialized many political figures and pop icons such as Bill Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, Michael Moore, Bill Gates, and Muhammad Ali. He has also photographed advertising campaigns for such clients as American Express, Benson & Hedges, Dewar's, Merrill Lynch, Nike, and Zocor.
