A girl tried to get a little creative and gets beat up ... that's it ..no more dirty Mardi Gras photos for either of you!!!!! HA HA HA HA

I was sitting in this courtyard, looking at the wall. At first it was ugly but then I started to realize the plaster had fallen away and the original brick from 200 years ago was peeking out and still standing firm. It brought home the saying, "They don't make them like they used too". So many objects wither and crumble while many overlooked things remain standing forever. As photographers we need to learn to spot these and respect the beauty of them.

I hope everyone enjoyed my view of Mardi Gras this year! Now its back to photographing puppies and kittens, flowers and trees... until next year =)

If you thought my photos from Sunday were over the top imagine what today is like! Even I have my limits when it comes to drunken lewdness and will not be going down to the French Quarter today! Even if I were to go down I would not bring my camera and even if I did bring my camera the photos would not be able to go on Flickr. Yea it gets that bad down there! This is my censored Mardi Gras photo for the day. Its about the only thing G rated in the French Quarter right now =p

For those who have been to Mardi Gras they understand this guy's dilemma. Smashed between "God's warriors" and the "bead catching heathens". He is raised to respect all things religious but on the street is torn between heaven and hell.

Anyone that has ever been to Mardi Gras has stopped, looked around a bit perplexed and asked themselves, "What the hell am i doing here?!" This was *that moment* for this guy =)

I love how candid the moment was, his expression, both the combo of *religious nuts* Pickett signs and the *heathens* trying to catch the beads. It captures the intense crowd and moment for him.

Its either that or he is in serious need of a bathroom ... hard to tell the difference LOL
