I like both of these very much. Musicians have always seemed to me the most mysterious people: the discipline required to do what they do, its marginal relationship to the daily and to language. They are like mathematicians, able to speak in code to each other but without seeming childish or contrary in doing so. And the nearly empty room speaks for itself.

the negative space was of necessity, because someone's head was blocking the view forward and I had to wait for the soloists to bob and weave out of harm's way. I was fascinated watching them dance after a fashion, the musical interplay becoming physical.

i can't even explain why but i really, really like this. i've stopped to view it several times on "most interesting" and finally had to comment. the contrast in colors, the composition, the talent you know she possesses... i can almost hear the music. brilliant.

Stunning!
Like snapshots of life I can´t really explain why. But I certainly feel that this picture is a pleasure to watch.

When I was a teenager I was mad for chartreuse. I had a cotton shirt with short sleeves and double pockets that I wore until it fell apart. The colours and the figure in this photo are magic, as others have stated before me!

Gorgeous framing, colors and composition. I understand the necessity of the moment and love it just the same.
