NYC Skyline Custom Bokeh Stars
The far red star on the top left is the top of the Empire State Building's antenna (the yellow star is the observation deck). The two star cluster towers on the right are apartment buildings.
Shot using this method.
I used a sheet of heavy stock sketch paper to cut out a circle just big enough to fit INSIDE of the lens' threads, nearly touching the glass. The first paper was white, which allowed too much light to hit the sensor, so I 'painted' one side with a black Sharpie marker.
