Firefox 3.1 tabsIn order to view this Flickr video, you'll need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. This is Mozilla Firefox's new tab switching feature (ctrl + tab). It shows a preview pane (like app switching in OS's like Windows and Mac). However it's ugly, and uses the application model, rather than the normal tab model of ctrl + tab moves right, and ctrl + shft + tab moves left (which it should be)
Commentsleggett.org says:The current implementation is better... just
instantly flip through each tab showing me
the actual sites instead of a thumbnail.
Blah.
leggett.org says:I just realized the ordering change (ctrl+tab
goes to the most recent tab you were on not
the next tab). That will be nice sometimes...
I often re-order my tabs to better facilitate
switching back and forth between two tabs.
And changing the order is probably weird w/o
the overlay. BUT, this also means I have two
tab orderings... the one I always see (my
tabs) and the one in the ctrl+tab window. On
Windows, I grew to ignore the ordering in the
task bar. Maybe I'll do the same here. Maybe
I'll want my tabs on the bottom now. It will
be interesting...
Jeremy Ricketts says:I really hope there's a way to disable that.
