Relentlessly Encroaching Darkness: Dementia

My feeling of how the brain is trapped and inundated by darkness with the onset of dementia. Something I'm seeing in my m-i-l right now.
this piece is made with iridescent crystal tiles, gemme type tiles and vitreous.

Difficult to photograph!

Sort of a commission! My grandson requested a table with a peace sign and a few flowers for his Christmas present. This is the result.
Made with glass fusion tiles, vitreous and pebbles on a 20" mdf base.
