Seaward Frolic

Seaward Frolic by Poe Tatum.
I love the water. More importantly I love the ocean and the waves. I love that if you subscribe to the theory of evolution.. We all came from here. So returning to the sea is a natural thing, it gave us birth. If you don't believe in evolution it still has a calming effect. The waves crashing on the ocean is the most peaceful noise that I know of. Of course, it has sharks... *shudder*

I'm with you here. I think we humans have a unique (evolutionary) relationship with ocean and water. We swim for fun, we fall in love with the sea. The first sight of it stirs our hearts.

Love this photo!

While your listening to the peaceful waves you may hear ring tones. My wife, accidentally, dropped her cell phone in Charlotte Harbor. Even worse, when I called to report that the phone was on the sea bottom, the insurance person asked if I wanted to get it repaired.

Glad you liked it! :) Evolution, for all it's non-sense... makes a lot more sense than God.. :D

Glad you liked :D

Yes I think our love and affection for the sea stems from the fact it's the cradle of our life. Even were that to be proved wrong, it still stirs the higher passions.

Thank you so much, glad you liked it! :D

So glad you liked it! Thank you for a wonderful compliment :D

I'll go with you, I miss a good frolic in the ocean. :( Nothing like a swim in the oceans of South Florida. so warm!

Thank you very much, glad you liked it! :D

Thanks! :D :D

Yeah photography is about a moment in flight and this really was that. :)

Thank you!!! :D

Well thank you so much for a wonderful comment! So glad you liked it, thank you!

Well thanks so much, very happy you liked it!! :D

Thank you very much. I love water, I love water in motion. It moved me too! :D

It was a little crazy, there's sharks in that water! *shudders* :D Glad you liked it!! :)

It is! Braving sharks and god knows what else for art. hee hee. :D Glad you liked it :D

Thanks Shel! So glad you liked it!! :D Thank you for the fav dearie! :)

Well, as for the repair.. You never know, they might send out a team of divers to recover it! I will keep my eyes and ears open for your wifes' cellphone! However, while it sounds quite solemn I giggled! Great story, hee hee! :D

Thank you so very very much for the great compliment! I'm very glad you liked it! I have never scuba dived but I hear it's quite amazing! :)

Thank you my dear, very glad you like it!!! I was originally going to post this to TOTW first but liked the colors in the other a lot. Either way, I think I like this image for the exact same reasons everyone else does. It's fun when you can look at your own stuff and go "Wow, cool! I don't suck!" :D

LOL! Yay someone who commented on my strobist info! I was being all tongue in cheek. It was actually shot on Ilford FP4 Plus ISO 125 film 120mm medium format. Natural light, the camera used was a Hasselblad 503CW (My B&W film camera). I'm sorry I don't recall the lens used, I know sloppy of me I didn't write it down. I'm going to guess it was a 50mm or a 70mm,

I never had a Barbie! I had this little broken car at my babcia (grandmother) house and I used to pretend it could fly. I know pathetic right? :(

Thank you so much :D

Thank you very much glad you liked it!! :)

Thank you for a great compliment, glad you liked it :)

Winder CW+ PocketWizard MultiMax works, Or you can use the crappy IR job that comes with it (Which I don't recommend) or you can use an Electronic Cable Release on a normal winder.
