i did this once, for reaaaal though.

July 17, 2006 Ok, so it isn't really that hot here. It was only 93° F (about 34° C) today, which could be worse.

But it sure has felt like I could fry an egg on the ground the last few days (though the one in this photo was cooked before being brought outside for the shoot)

Note: I took the photo with the egg sitting on cling wrap (hidden just under the edges), so it didn't pick up any gravel, and then fed it to my cats when I went inside. So it wasn't wasted :)

Nov. 12, 2006: That heat is just a memory today. Today, the egg would have just about frozen =)

Domain1: You're right, it would have been wasteful if I had just thrown it away. I've added a note in the caption to explain that the egg was kept clean with hidden cling wrap, and then fed to my cats after the shoot. They thought it was a splendid treat. I should have explained that when I posted it in the first place :)

Anyhow, very creative, and yes, I've heard stories about eggs on cars, but it does damage the paint. The CHP officer in Death Valley used to do it in the summer.....
