What are the components in this system? Obviously the Nano, the Pro speakers, what kind of dock? What kind of mods did you make to it?

Ditto as electrolund.
--> Hi Rob! ;)

I have a few sets of Cube speakers around that could be of great use to make a DIY iPod speaker system. Some more economical solutions are too "tinny & weak". Others are quite expensive. Knowing the speaker set, this would be worth it. Add custom speaker enclosure with integration of the dock ... Tada. :)

Exactly, jtylko. I don't understand why people make things so complicated. Take your existing dock, plug in a cable that has RCA on the other end, hook that into your existing stereo. Even my cheapest little boombox thing has an RCA/Aux input. There you have it. An iPod HiFi for the cost of the dock and a cable (minus the dock if your iPod came with one) without any extra crap and with the sound quality you expect and are used to from your existing stereo.
