Brilliant capture Andy....you've encouraged
me to visit St. Jacobs again!

Thanks kindly Marty.
Whenever we have to go to Waterloo on
Sundays, we try our best to visit this
Mennonite church in St. Jacobs to feel about
their way of life and to get a touch of their
happiness.

technically very good indeed, but also
interesting in terms of a human story

Andrew: Thanks kindly. I am really happy
about the result as it was one quick snapshot
from the side of my car.
Andy: Thanks. Reminds of Harrison Ford's
movie "Witness".
Halfbreedhalf: Thanks and I agree...
Richard: Thanks and I am glad you like
this version as well. Whenever I learnt
something new in photo processing, I tend to
try them on my favorite shots and this is one
of those.

Score 8/10 (from the Score Me! group).
Lovely sense of melancholy, great colour
tone... a little less keen on the amount of
road shown, but that's a matter of personal
taste, of course!

Love your composition and use of sepia. An
old world feel as you alluded to....without
the evidence of the modern world. It is
always of interest to see anothers way of
life.

Very nice. I think cropping out the poles
might help. IMO. Score 8/10 (from the Score Me! group)

Lovely photo. Although at first I agreed with
cameraschool's suggestion of a crop, I now
feel that the photos as it stands gives you
more of the anachronistic feel which I think
is part of the attraction of this photo.

I personally like the cropping just fine - it
would be boring if it was only the subjects!
The silhoettes and the sky are beautiful!
And it wouldn't be the same in pure b&w
so great choice there too.

great picture. I don't agree with suggested
crops because the way it is composed, with
the road on foreground, enhances/suggests
brilliantly the distancing in between past
and present. The people are still far away
from us, from the perspective we are looking
at them, and they keep walking... This what I
get from it, thanks for sharing.
