George managed to rip out one of the claws on his left back paw about 10 days ago. I've been keeping an eye on it to make sure it's clean and that George hasn't been in pain. He's been walking, eating and playing as he usually does.
Today we took all 3 cats up to the vet for their yearly check-up and vaccinations, so I had the vet check George's paw. It's showing signs of a slight infection and now he has to have antibiotics twice a day for 10 days. Cats and pills...such fun...
But ages ago - when something was wrong with Jack and he had to take pills - a Flickr friend, Edgar, told me about a doohickey for giving cats pills. Today I noticed the vet had the doohickey Edgar told me about, so we bought one. It's called a Cat Piller and every home with a cat should have one! I would never have bought it if Edgar hadn't said how good he and Ron found it for giving pills to Gracie (their gorgeous girl cat). It's so easy to get the pills into the back of the throat so George can't spit it out - with very little fuss or effort.
So, thanks Edgar! George would thank you too - but he's busy sulking.
