Semi-Arid  When I landed they forecast that the days temperature would get up to 39 C. The last rains were months ago. The landscape for every direction for days is red, arid desert and patchy growth. Bizarrely the area around Uluru was actually fairly fertile in comparison. Looked pretty unforgoving though.
