Easter Market 2006

Mexico - During holidays, aka high season, temporary markets spring up to take advantage of the surge of visitors.

The pictures in this gallery document a holiday market in Oaxaca City on the north end of the pedestrian-friendly section of Alcalá Street during Easter Week (Semana Santa) 2006.

This market, Expo Venta Artesenal, was organized by the Instituto Oaxaqueño de Las Artesanias. There was a similar presentation of Oaxacan crafts in Mexico City's Zocalo in May 2006.
