Nature Park Rusenski Lom
Nature Park of Rusenski Lom is one of the ten nature parks of Bulgaria. It is situated along the canyon type valley of Rusenski Lom River - the last right feeder of the Danube. The Park has been announced protected area in 1970 and embraces a territory of 3408 hectares. The Park is recognized as an interesting and precious site of high aesthetic value preserving beautiful riverside terraces, meanders, high vertical rocks, areas of rich variety of species, caves, rock formations, historical monuments of national and international significance. The Park satisfies people's recreation needs and gives an opportunity for scientific and exploration activities.
The contact with the beauty of nature and spiritual heritage that reveals before one’s eyes in the rock monasteries, promise unforgettable moments to the guests of the Park, along with the possibilities for practicing bike riding, as well as speleo- and walking tourism, rock climbing and canoe.

Rusenski Lim river valley is an isolated oasis of original mixture of species of various phyto- and zoo and geographical origin – Central European, sub-Mediterranean and steppe ones. These circumstances are favored by the varied relief, the specific micro-climate and the availability of rock formations as well as wetlands.
