Self-mutilation by cyberpunks incorporating networked devices into their bodies seems illogical given that cyberpunk revolts against Control in its digitally networked form. Staying off the grid seems a better tactic than becoming part of it, let alone if self-mutilation is required

great photo, and the difference is if it is a bottom up need, or a top down requirement. i believe that the cyberpunk ethos is more in line with being able to do everything yourself, vs being reliant on a large system.
