out of the sunroof while my husband was driving on an overpass that was adjacent to the MacArthur Maze and gave me a birds eye view of this horrible interchange collapse that occurred early this morning. An oil tanker driver carrying 8,600 gallons of gasoline lost control and smashed into the guard rail, the tanker ruptured, causing a fire so intense it collapsed two sections of this interchanged onto each other, and then to the ground below. The only known injury was to the driver of the oil tanker, who suffered second degree burns to his face and arms. CA Highway patrol officers believe speed played a factor in the crash. This incident will disrupt the commute for over 280,000 daily commuters. It is one of the busiest interchanges in the Nation. The last disaster to hit this freeway was the 1989 Loma Prieta earthqauke. Comments

Thanx, Wayne... It was fun, and amusing to
some. I could hear people laughing as they
were walking on the (non-pedestrian)
overpass/ bike bridge. Pop said someone was
filming me, an amateur, not the news. We
later parked the car down below the overpass
and took some pix down below, then walked up
the bike path, and took more pix from a good
view point, only to be scolded by Emeryville
PD who forced us off the bridge, stating we
would be cited (given a ticket) for being
pedestrians on a vehicle and bike bridge.
The pedestrian sidewalk/ path was on the
opposite side, and clearly did not have the
same advantages for pixxing. I took a few
last shots, the hustled off the bridge, not
wanting to be cited this early on in my
budding photography "career". But
this was a very news worthy event, and I
wanted to capture it.

Thank you! I take a lot of risks in my
pixxing (picture taking), and this is not the
first time I have flung myself out the
sunroof with my husband at the wheel. I am a
bit of a daredevil, have been all my life.
This was a scene that needed to be
photographed and posted for historical
purposes, for the Bay Area residents to see,
to contemplate, and for us to share with
anyone who cares to know about our
circumstances here. 
Thank you! If I hear about something on the
news, I'm there! If I see something first
hand, "on view", I stop and
"shoot". I got my degree in
journalism 20 years ago, then became a cop
for 10 years, then a paralegal, my life is
all about reporting facts, recording details,
and now, putting it out in pictures rather
than reports.
Yes, Team Work pays off, thanx for being the
driver and keeping me safe! But where did

nope, my photojournalism pix can be dirty,
they can be graphic, but I don't usually go
for naughty or nasty in my photojournalism, I
just stick to what's newsworthy, and
printable.
