Beautiful dive.
You would be at home with SpongeBob in the Jellyfish Fields. Good luck on your skating. Sounds like another great opportunity for cool shots, except I worry about you skating and shooting at the same time. :O ;)

i remember just standing and staring at these at the monterey aquarium a few years back .... no camera with me that time, but they are just so fascinating to watch!

oh so pretty~i can image myself as a jellyfish, so simple and lovely. have a blast rollerblading-i hope you're wearing all those pads! i haven't done it in a long while, but it's a great workout and SO much fun!!

Fabulous catch. I love how the subtle coloring and delicate features are lighted and contrasted against the dark background. It's not exactly easy to shoot these floating beauties, but your timing and composition worked out perfectly!

There's a glass shop up in Fort Bragg that has a bunch of blown-glass jellyfish. They're gorgeous creations, but I don't think the actual thing can be recreated in such a way to be any more beautiful than the real thing. Such fantastic structure and color. And a great shot of it too. I've only tried shooting these once and it was an epic fail.
Hmmm, maybe we should have a flickr meetup in Monterey.
