341/365: There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!

The warm sun splashing on the trestle bridge over the Fox River looks warm and inviting but belies the fact that it was about 1° (with wind chills below 0) when I took this right after sunrise! The colors reflected in the river were unbelievably beautiful this morning! ♥ Looks wonderful in the lightbox!

I am out the door to search out a pair of snow pants and proper gloves. I just can't do this subzero photography without the proper gear anymore! "There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!" If I hear the old man say that one more time .... my jeans were frozen stiff with snow at the knees from kneeling and my fingertips were numb. Can eyeball's freeze? Because I feel like mine did!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

I absolutely adore this image, Trina! Love your title! I completely agree! I quoted it to someone this morning who said, "Brrrr. It's cold!", when the temperature was above 60 degrees!!! But that's southern California! Love the brilliant colors of the reflection! Love the texture of the bench and snow! Splendid shot worth getting up and out into the cold for! But, please, please, take care of yourself, my new friend!

One reason I chose you as a contact, Trina, was because I saw you were in Kalamazoo! I spent about 17 years of my life in Michigan, two years in Ann Arbor and 15 years over in the Muskegon area! My daughter graduated from Kalamazoo College! So I thought it'd be fun to get to know you. AND of course I looked at your images and love them! ;-)

Wow! Stunning image - I love the clarity of it all, and the contrast between the warmth of the sunlight in the distance and the cold of the snowy bench!

There is no such thing as bad weather, only different ways of good weather...

Trina, your snowy bicycle was the trigger for my Winter gallery! And then I went looking for more and found I had a really hard time keeping my choices from you to only two (my preference to assure diversity)! You have some awesome winter images, my friend in Illinois, like this one! BYW I've been quoting the title you've used here to Californians who scream "It's freezing!" when temps dip to the low 60s and upper 50s!!! Stay warm in your good clothes, my dear!!!
